House Rules

Check-in is anytime after 4:00 PM. Early check-in may be available — please check with us in advance to confirm availability and any applicable fees.

Check-out is at 10:30 AM sharp. Unauthorized late check outs will incur an additional nights fee, as our cleaners have very tight schedules.

Quiet hours are from 9:00 PM to 8:00 AM. Please be respectful of our neighbors during these hours. Excessive noise may result in fines or the cancellation of your reservation.

Only the guests listed in your reservation are allowed on the property unless approved by us ahead of time. Additional guests will incur extra charges.

The exterior of the property is monitored with security cameras. We also use NoiseAware sensors both indoors and outdoors. These devices alert us only when noise levels are consistently above a set threshold — normal conversation won't trigger an alert.

By booking this listing, you agree to contact the host directly with any issues you experience during your stay, including non-working amenities, cleanliness concerns, or anything else affecting the property. We will address and resolve all reported issues within 24 hours. If any amenity is not working during your stay, we will provide a $25 per day credit until it is restored.

Loud music is not allowed on the property to maintain a peaceful environment for the neighbors, and quiet hours are from 9:00 PM to 8:00 AM. Please keep noise levels down during these times. Failure to do so will result in a $500 fine and/or immediately removal from the property.

Smoking is not allowed inside the home.

Any cleanup involving vomit, feces (including pet feces), or blood will result in a $500 minimum penalty.

Pets must be approved prior to your stay. A $100 pet fee covers up to two pets.

The person who booked the reservation is responsible for all guests, any damages, and all incidents during the stay.

Smart thermostats are available for your use, with temperature limits set for efficiency. Please keep windows and doors closed when using the heating or A/C.

Pool Rules:

No lifeguard is on duty — swim at your own risk.

No glass is allowed in or near the pool area.

Pool heating requests must be made at least 24 hours in advance. Once payment is received, the heater will be turned on at 8am, with a target temperature of 82°F by 4pm on the first day.

Spa Heating is always complimentary :)

Pool heating takes up to 10 hours to reach 82°F and must be requested in advance — ideally at the time of booking. Payment must be made before heating begins. Any tampering with pool equipment will result in a $1000 fine.

Inside, the vibe is cozy-boho with modern touches. The kitchen is sleek and super functional—with a gas range, smart fridge that streams music, and everything you need to whip up meals. Eat at the dining table or hang at the bar that opens up to the living area. The leather sectional is perfect for movie nights by the fireplace, and the 55” Smart TV is all set up for streaming.

Bedrooms are set up to be your chill zone—soothing colors, comfy beds, and thoughtful decor to help you wind down. The bathrooms are stylish too, with floating vanities, premium fixtures, and beautiful custom tilework.

The entire property, including the guest house, backyard pool oasis, hot tub, Zen garden with fruit trees, garage gym, laundry facilities, driveway, and front yard are exclusively yours to enjoy! You'll have complete privacy throughout your stay.

Please note: That the guest house does not have a bathroom or sink.

Neighborhood overview
Tucked away in the hills of San Diego County, La Mesa is one of those places that just feels easy to love. With leafy streets, a walkable downtown, and that classic SoCal sunshine, it’s the kind of spot where you can kick back or head out for a little adventure—whatever mood you're in.'

Locals call it the "Jewel of the Hills" for a reason. There’s no shortage of scenic spots, from hiking trails to quiet parks. Just 5 minutes away is Mission Trails Regional Park—a massive outdoor playground with over 8,000 acres of trails, hills, and valleys. Lake Murray is part of it too, and it’s perfect for paddle boarding, kayaking, or just relaxing by the water.

If you’re up for a challenge (and a killer view), Cowles Mountain is nearby and totally worth the climb. It’s San Diego’s highest point, and on clear days, you can actually see the ocean and Mexico from the top. The main trailhead’s less than 2 miles away, and the 3-mile round trip is great cardio—just don’t forget your water and sunscreen, there’s not much shade!

Mount Helix is also close by, and it's got stunning 360° views—great for a chill morning hike or a quick sunset trip. Another hidden gem? La Mesa’s “Secret Stairs” in the Mt. Nebo area. They’re a fun (and slightly sweaty) way to explore the neighborhood on foot.

For something low-key, Harry Griffen Park is a great hangout with big grassy areas, a playground, and even live music in the summer. And if you're into fresh produce or just love wandering farmers markets, head to the La Mesa Farmers' Market on Friday afternoons—it’s full of good vibes, local goodies, and great eats.

You’ll also be close to all the essentials—grocery stores, restaurants, coffee shops (yep, there’s a Starbucks nearby), and shopping spots like Grossmont Center and Parkway Plaza.

Craving the beach? You’re only about 20 minutes from some of San Diego’s best, including Ocean Beach, Pacific Beach, and La Jolla Shores. And if you're chasing sunset magic, don't skip Sunset Cliffs—it's basically a postcard come to life.

Everything else you’d want to explore is within 15 miles—think breweries, wine bars, SDSU, Liberty Station, Balboa Park, Old Town, SeaWorld, concert spots, and downtown nightlife.

Getting around
Our place is in a super convenient spot—right near the I-8 and the 125 Freeway—so getting around by car is a breeze.

You’ll have access to private parking in the garage and driveway. Got extra cars? There’s some street parking nearby, but it can be a bit limited.
The Grossmont Center and Trolley Station are just a short walk away, making it easy to hop on public transit and explore the area without driving.

Ride-share pickups are quick—usually just a 3-minute wait or less!
