House Rules

Check-in is any time after 4:00 PM. Early check-in may be available - please check with us in advance to confirm availability and any applicable fees. Unauthorized early check-ins will incur a $500 fee.

Check-out is at 10:30 AM sharp. Unauthorized late check-outs will incur a $500 fee.

Authorized early check-in and authorized late check-out will incur a minimum $100 fee.

Quiet hours are from 9:00 PM to 8:00 AM. Please be respectful of our neighbors during these hours.

Excessive noise may result in fines or the cancellation of your reservation.

Loud music is not allowed on the property to maintain a peaceful environment for the neighbors. Failure to keep noise levels down during quiet hours will result in a $500 fine and/or immediate removal from the property.

Only the guests listed in your reservation are allowed on the property unless approved by us ahead of time. Additional guests will incur extra charges.

The exterior of the property is monitored with security cameras. We also use NoiseAware sensors both indoors and outdoors. These devices alert us only when noise levels are consistently above a set
threshold; normal conversation won't trigger an alert.

By booking this listing, you agree to contact the host directly with any issues you experience during your stay, including non-working amenities, cleanliness concerns, or anything else affecting the property. We will address and resolve all reported issues within 24 hours. If any amenity is not working during your stay, we will provide a $25 per day credit until it is restored.

Smoking is not allowed inside the home.

Any cleanup involving vomit, feces (including pet feces), or blood will result in a $500 minimum penalty.

Pets must be approved prior to your stay. A $100 pet fee covers up to two pets.

The person who booked the reservation is responsible for all guests, any damages, and all incidents during the stay.

Smart thermostats are available for your use, with temperature limits set for efficiency. Please keep
windows and doors closed when using the heating or A/C.

Pool Rules

No lifeguard is on duty—swim at your own risk.

No glass is allowed in or near the pool area.

Pool heating requests must be made at least 24 hours in advance. Once payment is received, the heater will be turned on at 8am, with a target temperature of 82°F by 4pm on the first day.

Spa heating is always complimentary :)

Pool heating takes up to 10 hours to reach 82°F and must be requested in advance, ideally at the time of booking. Payment must be made before heating begins. Any tampering with pool equipment will result in a $1000 fine.

Lounge on the dreamy outdoor cabana bed, have dinner by the fire-lit dining table, or enjoy quality time with family and friends—this backyard is made for unforgettable nights! We’ve got games, selfie walls, sun loungers, ping pong, and even cornhole. When the sun goes down, the whole space lights up with magical LED lighting. It’s pure vacation mode.

Inside, it’s just as comfy and welcoming. The living room looks out over the pool and has a Smart TV with full cable—perfect for movie nights or catching the game. The kitchen is fully stocked for anyone who loves to cook or just snack in style, with everything from a smart fridge to a breakfast bar and a gorgeous marble dining table. There’s even a pass-through window to the patio bar, so you’re never far from the fun!

When it’s time to crash, the main house has four cozy bedrooms:

✨Pool heating is available up to 82°F for $150/day minimum. There is a 2 day minimum charge for pool heating. Pricing is based on current SDGE natural gas rates. Spa heating is always free 🙂

Neighborhood overview
Welcome to La Mesa—aka The Jewel of the Hills! This little city has such a laid-back vibe, with tree-lined streets, cute shops and cafes, and sunshine pretty much year-round. It’s super family-friendly and has that cozy, small-town feel even though you’re just a short drive from all the action in San Diego.

If you’re into the outdoors, you’re in luck! We’re just five minutes from Mission Trails Regional Park, where you can hike, rent a boat, or hang by the lake. Feeling ambitious? Head up Cowles Mountain (the highest point in San Diego!) for panoramic views all the way to Mexico and the coast—it’s a solid hike, so bring water and sunscreen!

Mount Helix is another gem—just 10 minutes away with amazing views and peaceful vibes. Want a quirky local adventure? Try La Mesa’s Secret Stairs—they’re a fun and sneaky way to get in a workout. And if you’ve got little ones, Harry Griffen Park is a great spot with a playground and free summer concerts.

On Fridays, the La Mesa Farmers’ Market is the place to be for fresh finds and local eats (3-7pm). You’ll also find plenty of restaurants, coffee shops, and grocery stores within walking distance. Need to do some shopping? Grossmont Center is just a few minutes away, and Parkway Plaza isn’t far either.

You’re about 20 minutes from some of San Diego’s best—Ocean Beach, La Jolla Shores, and the breathtaking Sunset Cliffs for evening views you won’t forget. Whether you're planning on hitting up SeaWorld, sipping craft brews, or exploring Balboa Park, everything’s close—so this really is the perfect home base for your SoCal getaway!
Getting around
You’ll be super close to the I-8 and 125 freeways, making it easy to get wherever you need to go. We recommend having your own car to explore comfortably—we’ve got private driveway parking for up to 4 vehicles, plus plenty of street parking if you’ve got more guests tagging along.

You’ll find bars, restaurants, and shops just a short stroll away. And if you need a ride, Uber usually shows up in about 3 minutes.

The Grossmont Trolley Station is only 1.2 miles away—easy to hop on if you're going car-free for the day!
San Diego International Airport is about 15 miles from the house.
